screen genius ScreenGenius How to: Create MP3 files with ScreenFlowOne of the many uses of ScreenFlow is as a recording device for live web events for playback later. The other day, there was a webinar I wanted to listen to, but I knew I would be in a meeting during the scheduled webinar time. So I thought: “I can use ScreenFlow to record the webinar, then put it on my iPod and listen to it while I’m on the go!” (For this particular webinar, there was very little screen activity. I was mainly interested in the audio.)

It worked perfectly!  See how easy it is to export a ScreenFlow audio file and turn it into an MP3 file in iTunes.

Thank you! this is what I needed for a homework, I needed the sound from a video I made a long time ago, so it was a pain to go look in my backups, but I knew wher to find it in youtube, so I screencasted my video and extracted the sound for my homework, thank you :)

Thats a really good tutorial. Screenflow is Mac only I think, although
I really need an excuse to get one. Thanks for the article.

Thanks for that. I knew I could record system audio in ScreenFlow, and I knew I could save just the audio. What I didn’t know about, was the import/export option in iTunes and the right-clicking on a song in iTunes to create an MP3 version. This was very helpful, since Apple doesn’t seem to want to let WireTap Studio record from apps in Lion.

This will work better, because I’ve been recording on my Macbook Pro (which is still running Leopard) with WireTap Studio then exporting over the network to my iMac.
