Quintessential ScreenFlow: A Nobel family trip
Since working with ScreenFlow and starting this blog, I have seen hundreds if not thousands of videos made with ScreenFlow. But few videos have touched my heart as this one did.
It’s not your typical screencast video; in fact, there is not one computer screen even shown. However this video was made using ScreenFlow extensively.
The video was shot and edited by Malcolm Hamilton whose father-in-law, Dr. Boyle, was the worthy recipient of last year’s Nobel Prize for Physics.
Malcolm made the video for his own family’s use; as he says, “It was my attempt to ensure that my father-in-law would remember a busy, jet-lagged, exhausting but magical week.”
What I love about this video is the way Malcolm has used some unique and effective techniques to display a lot of information in a little time. The use of 4 videos at once is surprisingly effective, without being too busy. Also, the use of still photography, mixed in with text and video all work together very well to tell this heartwarming story.
I wanted to share this ScreenFlow video so other users could gain some inspiration and ideas for different ways to edit and display information for their own videos.
So, with Malcolm’s blessing, please enjoy his family’s story of their “magical” week in Stockholm.

Very nice Video. Shows a few very nice effects and what possible with Screenflow 2.1.
There are still many things on the Wish list to make this work easier.
